DISCOVER TALISAY!
If u want to visit Talisay City, here are some of the tourist spots that you shouldn't miss:
TALISAY CITY HALL PLAZA
Offers incredible scenery! As people came to the Plaza during the day to walk their dogs, meditate, jog, ride bicycles, and go on dates, it was quite busy. Anyone in need of a change of scenery while living in a city might find it in the plaza. My eyes were calmed by the abundance of greenery and flowers, which provided the much-needed city escape.
As soon as I thought that was all the plaza had to offer, the Talisay City Hall Plaza sprang into fresh life as stands selling a variety of snacks and treats emerged from the shadows as the night falls.
As we make our way back to normal, Talisay Trade Fair gives us a chance to relive the experience of street life. According to a Sunstar article, there are 80 food stalls that provide a wide range of dishes and drinks from many cuisines. The trade fair is open from 9:00 in the morning to 12:00 midnight from December 15-30 to celebrate Christmas led by CT-CCTI. We tried the burger as a snack, and we were pleasantly surprised. The meat, vegetables, and buns were all fresh and generously topped with sauces.
The location is also great for cardio exercise, particularly jogging, as people are allowed to jog in the plaza as early as 4am. It is one of the most popular places for jogging in Talisay City and is a very well-known site for athletes to work out.
Along with stalls offering food and other goods, the trade fair hosts nighttime events including a cosplay contest. I was taken aback by the sheer number of cosplayers and cosplay enthusiasts that came out to attend the second Cosplay Competition in Talisay City Plaza. To be honest, it was my first time ever attending a cosplay competition and it was held in my very own city. The feeling of excitement overrun me, as I witnessed some of my favorite video game and anime characters come to life.
Now you see me, now you don't. You probably missed me standing in the middle of the photo below.
How To Get There?
Ride a habal-habal or a tricycle from Tabunok, Talisay City terminal to Mohon ubos, or just tell the driver to take you to Talisay City Hall. Once you have arrived, you will need to walk a 5-minute walk from the gate to the entrance of the Talisay City Plaza.
